Plane truth

Friend of the blog and sire of the blogster, Mr. Nat’s TV Sr., points out that after the situation referenced earlier, Alaska did get a gubernatorial airplane. And that purchase was a major controversy, and that one of Gov. Palin’s first moves in office was to have the plane offered for sale on eBay… an attempt which apparently failed, but the plane was eventually sold through other means. (Although I will note that the controversy was not over the gubernut having a plane, but rather an expensive one that was both lavish and impractical; one article references earlier guvs having access to an old turboprop.)
