For the Elmo’s World segment of Sesame Street, they have a clowny character called Mister Noodle, who always incompetently demonstrates the topic at hand until the voices of Elmo and unseen children coach him into demonstrating it the correct way. Original, Mr. Noodle was portrayed by Michael Jeter, but Jeter retired from the role (and later passed on), to be replaced by Bill Irwin. So are they playing the same character? Apparently not; now, when they reuse the earlier Mister Noodle footage, Elmo says “Look! It’s Mister Noodle’s brother, Mister Noodle!”

A logical solution to the problem at hand.

  1. In the episode on Families both Irwin and Jeter came on together to do the Noodle Family dance. Interesting to see them together in the same episode.
