Chuck's girls

I was responding to someone else’s blog about The Big Bang Theory, and it got me thinking about a previous Chuck Lorre creation in ways that I’d never approached it before. If Two-And-A-Half Men is about the weaknesses of men, then Dharma & Greg is about the strengths of women. Dharma’s mom represented heart, her mother-in-law well, and her best friend (who faded in import as the series continued) spirit. Dharma herself combined the strengths of all three without their weaknesses.

Yeah, yeah, nothin’ better to do on a Labor Day than to muse on the structure of long-gone TV shows.
